Many residents in the Bay Area along with South Bay
Mobilization,
California Peace Action, Direct Action to Stop the
War, Global
Exchange, International ANSWER, Not In Our Name, Peninsula
Peace and
Justice Center, Bay Area Against War, Labor for Peace
and Justice,
United for Peace and Justice, and others will protest
outside United
Defense Technologies in Santa Clara Friday, May 2,
while George W. Bush
speaks inside.
Protesters
will gather at Larry J. Marsalli Park at El Camino
Real and
Lafayette in Santa Clara before marching to United
Defense Technologies
at 1205 Coleman Avenue for the demonstration. Bush
is expected to
arrive at the Coleman Avenue facility between 9 and
9:30 a.m.
Among
the slogans to be raised by the protesters:
Money for Jobs, Education and People's Needs, NOT
FOR WAR!
No Colonial Occupation of Iraq!
