“WE WON’T GO SHOPPING WHILE BOMBS
ARE DROPPING!”
SAN JOSEANS TO DEMONSTRATE AGAINST IRAQ WAR
AT VALLEY FAIR MALL
WHAT: Vigil against the proposed war
on Iraq. Concerned residents will fill the sidewalks
along Stevens Creek to express their support for peace
and justice. Protestors plan to bring signs with messages
to reach out to the many drivers and shoppers who will
be present.
WHEN: Sunday, March 9th, 1

and Justice in San Jose, South Bay Mobilization to Stop
the War (SMBSW) and others
WHY: Demonstrators’ messages
include:
- War will not bring security in the U.S. or democracy
to Iraq.
- War will bring more death, chaos, and misery to the
Middle East and further depress the U.S. economy.
- The money spent on the war machine should be spent
on our needs here at home.
