(Update - As of 1/31/09, Israel has killed over 1300 people, injured more than 5300, destroyed a tremendous number of lives in Gaza, and committed a large series of war crimes.)
Show solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza, the largest open-air prison in the world, still under siege, still under a brutal blockade by Israel for more than a year, which brought their economy to a deadly halt. Demand an immediate end to the murderous attacks carried out by the Israeli military using US weapons against the people of Gaza, which have killed over 700 people in Palestine just since 1/3/08.
Of the 700 people Israel has killed with US weapons, about 1/3 are children, with more than 3,000 injured. Many of those injured will soon join the dead since they have no access to medical care. The death toll for the recent Israeli bombing of the UN school, now stands at 46 and Israel has retracted it's claim that they were responding to fire from the school. Of Gaza's 1.5 million people, over 56 percent of them are children, who have been permanently traumatized from the continual bombing.
Israel claims this is about Hamas, but Israel placed Gaza under siege before Hamas was democratically elected by the people of Gaza. This has nothing to do with Hamas, and everything to do with removing Palestinians from their land by any means necessary, in violation of international law.
"The law is very clear. July 2004, the highest judicial body in the world, the International Court of Justice, ruled Israel has no title to any of the West Bank and any of Gaza. They have no title to Jerusalem. Arab East Jerusalem, according to the highest judicial body in the world, is occupied Palestinian territory. The International Court of Justice ruled all the settlements, all the settlements in the West Bank, are illegal under international law."

The aerial bombings and the ongoing ground invasion of Gaza by Israeli ground forces must be analysed in a historical context. Operation "Cast Lead" is a carefully planned undertaking, which is part of a broader military-intelligence agenda first formulated by the government of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in 2001:
"Sources in the defense establishment said Defense Minister Ehud Barak instructed the Israel Defense Forces to prepare for the operation over six months ago, even as Israel was beginning to negotiate a ceasefire agreement with Hamas." Phosphorus burns human flesh completely off
all the way to the bone, leaving burned off, charred bones sticking out. See photo here of an Iraqi victim... Note that the clothing is intact proving that the burning was extremely localized. Once ignited, the chemical reaction is exothermic and cannot be extinguished
until either all the phosphorus is either burned up or is completely deprived
of all sources of oxygen, including the oxygen supplied by the consumption of human flesh. Phosphorus is a chemical weapon, a weapon of terror. If phosphorus gets inside the body,
it will continue burning from the inside out until it is gone. (Wikipedia says that
"people covered in it have been known to commit suicide due to the torment.")

William Bowles quotes US soldier, Jeff Englehart, in an interview with Italy's RAI news, as stating the following:
"[I]t melts the flesh all the way down to the bone ... I saw the burned bodies of women and children. Phosphorus explodes and forms a cloud. Anyone within a radius of 150 metres is done for."
