Listen to Mike Malloy's audio analysis of Bush's Speeches...
Incredible complilation of Orwellian audio clips spoken
by Bush !
Karl Rove's 5 Steps to manipulate the public to accept totalitarian
rule:
| 1.
Bush only speaks to sympathetic audiences, and he
always starts out by thanking whatever carefully chosen group
he's addressing. |
4.
Encourage Americans to HATE the resistance. Now that Americans
are sufficiently terrified, the only hope for any security
is to give Bush all the power to do whatever it wants for
the good of America and to protect the Homeland. |
| 2.
Bush then begins to instill fear and terror. He uses deliberately
vague but terrifying adjectives to describe the dangers Americans
face. The list is endless... |
5.
Step 5 is to take us to the point where we love Big
Brother. In order to manipulate the public into accepting
this fascist regime, Karl Rove determined that every speech
must end on a positive, hopeful note, if we'll just go along
with Bush. Bush stirs Americans into flag-waving fervor using
vivid imagery, "Win the war for our children and our
grand-children", "Defend Freedom", "Stamp
out evil where we find it.", "Plant that flag of
freedom...". |
| 3.
By convincing Americans that the vague threats against Americans
are permanent, it's easier for the masses to accept that the
"War on Terra" must also be permanent. We're at
war to keep the peace. War is Peace. |

analysis can be found at this web site:

5
easy steps to use fear and loathing to
manipulate the American public into accepting totalitarian
rule.
Big
Brother loves you. Stand by for an important announcement
from the ministry of truth. Oceania has always been at
war with east asia, and war is peace. Hate the resistance,
and finally, we love Big Brother.
Bush establishes that the vague threats against Americans
are permanent, and once that is established, it's so much
easier for the masses to accept the concept that the war
on terror must also be permanent.
Bush conditions the public to accept perpetual war by
using perpetual fear using indistinct terms like "different
kind of war", "blanket alert", "general
threat". And because they are now terrified, Americans
accept the fact that they must be kept in the dark for
their own safety and protection. So they don't challenge
Bush when he refuses to be specific about the nature of
the threat or details of the perpetual war. So now we
Americans are beginning to accept that we must give up
freedom because our very lives are at stake. -- Mike Malloy

Movie: "NEW RULERS OF THE WORLD"
-- Palo Alto
|
Movie directed and presented
by John Pilger, 53 mins, 2002
7:30 p.m.
222 High Street (downtown Palo Alto)
Who are the real
beneficiaries of the globalized economy? Who really rules
the world now? Governments or a handful of huge corporations?
The film looks at the new rulers of the world - great multinationals
and the governments and institutions that back them - the
IMF and the World Bank. The reality behind much of modern
shopping and the famous brands is the loss of millions of
jobs, and a sweatshop economy duplicated in country after
country.

The Foundation

20-25, 2003
|
June 20-25:
Peace, Global Justice and Democracy Movements Unite in Sacramento
to Confront the Corporate Take-Over of Food, Communities and
the Future
Protest the Sacramento Corporate Agriculture Ministerial!
This June the Bush
administration, USAID, USDA, and the State Department are
hosting government ministers from 180 nations and transnational
corporate reps in a meeting to pave the way for ‘free
trade,’ privatization of water, genetic engineering
and factory farming. This ministerial is one of the key stepping
stones for the Bush administration and their corporate backers
to push through their agenda in the lead up to the next World
Trade Organization meeting in Cancun in September. This is
why millions of small farmers around the world have called
for protests at the Sacramento ministerial to denounce the
corporate take over of the global food supply.
JOIN US in the
streets of Sacramento, California for a five-day festival
of diverse resistance to biotech, bioimperialism, the Bush
Administration's "Pax Americana" and ‘free
trade’. We will be confronting the corporate agenda
of ‘free trade’ and war on the earth with non-violent
direct action, marches, rallies, teach-ins, an alternative
expo, and more...

Wednesday,
June 18th, 7:00pm-9:00pm
Silicon Valley for Civil Rights, General Meeting |
It's no secret that
since September 11th, the federal government has engaged in
a massive crackdown on civil liberties. Muslims, Arabs, and
South-Asians have been rounded up for interrogations, detentions,
and deportations. FBI agents have been authorized to spy on
political and religious gatherings. And the Patriot Act threatens
all of us with its provisions for expanded surveillance and
invasions of privacy.
75
cities and counties nationwide have passed resolutions opposed
to the Patriot Act and this crackdown on civil liberties.
With the Bush Administration about to introduce "Patriot Act
II", it is important for Congress to know that there is local
opposition. That is why it is critical that Santa Clara County
take a stand for civil liberties and pass a resolution against
the Patriot Act. We've been meeting regularly, and our next
meeting in on Wednesday, June 18th as described above.

crippling UN sanctions and depleted uranium radiation since
the first Gulf War. April will be sharing her impressions
prior to the assault, her experiences with civilians during
the bombing and invasion by our Marines, conversations with
Iraqi and American soldiers, and photos taken by the team.

NO
MORE BLOOD FOR OIL !
Call on Ford to Help Break Our Addiction to Oil
National Day of Action |
Location:
Ford Dealership
3701 Stevens Creek Blvd.
Santa Clara, CA 95051
(Click
here for a map to the dealership)
For more information about the National Campaign to put pressure
on Ford, visit this very interesting web site: http://www.jumpstartford.com/action/.
This web site has lots of facts about Ford, top 10 reasons
why Ford needs to change its business practices and stop fueling
America's oil addiction, suggestions for protests, dealership
locations, flyers, protest signs, and lots more.
Our addiction to oil is deadly. Our primitive vehicles fuel
the global warming crisis, rainforest destruction, human rights
abuses, the loss of good-paying union jobs, and severe air
pollution that chokes our children and the elderly. And of
course our oil addiction is also largely responsible for the
senseless war in Iraq: If broccoli were the number one export
from the Middle East, we never would have invaded Iraq.
It’s time
to take the slogan “No Blood for Oil” straight
to Detroit. This June, Ford Motor Company is going to celebrate
its 100th anniversary. Ford likes to think of itself as an
innovator. But in fact this is a dinosaur company that produces
old-fashioned, gas-guzzling vehicles. Many Ford vehicles on
the road today get fewer miles per gallon than did the Model-T
80 years ago!
To break our oil
addiction, Global Exchange and the Rainforest Action Network
are asking communities to target Ford Motor Company to demand
that the corporation increase the fuel efficiency of its vehicles
to 50 miles per gallon by 2010 and to completely eliminate
tailpipe emissions by 2020. By dramatically reducing our outdated
cars’ demand for oil, we can take a huge step toward
getting the petroleum monkey off our backs.
On Saturday, June
7th - four days before Ford’s centennial celebration-people
around the U.S. will be holding rallies and protests in front
of Ford dealerships to send a loud and clear message that
we will not longer tolerate the production of primitive gas-guzzling
vehicles that put us all at risk.

From the Organizers:
Call to Action:
International Day
of Action for Justice in Palestine
June 5, 2003
On June 5, 2003,
the thirty-sixth anniversary of the Israeli occupation of
the West Bank and Gaza, we call for linked actions by Palestinian,
international, and Israeli peace groups to protest the escalating
violence against the Palestinian community and international
human rights workers in the occupied territories. We demand
protection for Palestinian civilians and for internationals,
a moratorium on construction of the apartheid wall and its
associated land confiscations and home demolitions, and an
end to the occupation.
I. Who is Initiating
this Call?
United for Peace
and Justice is initiating this call together with Palestinian
based, Israeli, and other international peace groups. Committed
convening groups include the Peace and Justice Studies Association
(PJSA), the International Women¹s Peace Service, and
the International Solidarity (ISM) Movement, which attempts
to protect civilians and supports the nonviolent resistance
within Palestine, We seek and welcome endorsements by all
groups and individuals that support our points of unity.
II. What Would Happen on and around June 5?
... Demonstrations
and acts of nonviolent resistance by Palestinians and
internationals within the occupied territories of Palestine.
... Sister demonstrations,
vigils and nonviolent direct actions by Israeli
... peace groups within the pre-1967 borders of Israel.
... A massive campaign
of lobbying at the United Nations and of the U.S.
Congress culminating on June 5.
... Teach-ins and
educational programs in communities around the world.
... Demonstrations,
vigils, and nonviolent occupations of Israeli embassies
... and consulates worldwide, and at offices of corporations
that profit from the occupation.

the War Machine !
Four Days of Action Against Bechtel and
the Corporate Invasion of Iraq
June 1st - June 5th, 2003
Join Us in San Francisco, Washington, DC, or
Host Actions in Your Community
In San Francisco,
we'll peacefully shutdown Bechtel's offices. Around
the nation and the world, non-violent direct actions
will take place at other Bechtel locations. Each of
these events will advance the following goals: |
|
1. Expose Bechtel's
record of
human rights, environmental, health and safety and tax-payer
abuses and links to the ongoing community
campaigns against Bechtel.
2. Stop the Bush Administration's system
of awarding contracts in Iraq that put the profits of U.S.
corporations over the humanitarian needs and self-determination
of the people of Iraq.
3. Explore and support positive alternative
rebuilding proposals put forward by Iraqis, the United Nations
and Members of Congress.
4. Stop the flow of billions of dollars from our schools
and communities to subsidize the corporate invasion of Iraq,
starting with the $680 million for Bechtel.
5. Stop the Bush Administration from using a military
invasion to impose an economic globalization agenda
on Iraq without the consent of the Iraqi people.
6. Stop the Bush Administration's Empire-Building
agenda, and
7. Build on the powerful Global Resistance to these
abuses and support the positive alternatives that already
exist !
